Carole - piano & winds

Carole is the founder/owner of Detroit School of Music, as well as one of the teaching instructors.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education (2006) and a Master's in Counseling (2014), both from Central Michigan University.  She is an active member of Delta Omicron professional music fraternity and Detroit Young Professionals.  She has extensive woodwind and piano performance experience (including two European tours with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp ensembles) and has worked with students ages 3-73 in many various ensembles and settings.

Deanna Johnson - voice & piano

DeAnna Johnson has sung everything from opera to pop. She has extensive experience in vocal performance and teaching, all of which was kick-started by a BA in Music Education from Kentucky State University (2005) and a Master’s of Music Education from Bowling Green State University (2007). For nearly a decade, she has taught private voice and piano at the secondary and post-secondary level. DeAnna has won numerous emerging artist honors and is an active member of both the Michigan Music Education Association as well as the National Association for Music Education.
